PROCESS

The Awards are structured to identify and recognise original, sustainable, innovative and groundbreaking design.

The program is structured in several key phases:

Nomination phase

  • Through partnerships with peak industry bodies, associations and institutions the most exciting, innovative and effective applications of design in and from Victoria are nominated

Shortlisting phase

  • Round one judging panel shortlist the nominations to up to 10 finalists
  • The State of Design Festival commission and develop written and video case study reports on the 10 finalists

Finalist phase

  • Round two judging panel interact with and experience the 10 finalist initiatives
  • Up to five winners and up to five honourable mentions will be awarded

Awards ceremony

  • The prestigious awards ceremony will be held during the State of Design Festival

Post award ceremony

  • The award winners will be heavily promoted via a dedicated marketing and publicity program
  • Video case studies will be disseminated via a multi-platform campaign
  • Winners announced through an advertising campaign
