Festival Hub at City Square
For information on festival events make your way down to the State of Design Festival Hub at City Square. Festival volunteers will also be distributing hardcopy guides and providing assistance for using the State of Design iPhone App.
Reigniting the discussion around water in the Square, the hub will be accompanied by a large-scale installation, entitled Flowing Data. Designed for the Melbourne Water Creating Liveable Cities exhibition by Oom Creative, the installation makes the complex systems of water supply and use an engaging hyper-graphic experience. By translating hard data around the flow of water through our catchments, rivers and sewerage into evocative visuals, Flowing Data reveals the sharp asymmetry between what we harvest from rainfall, what we use and possibilities for the future.
