Bendigo Bank – The Business Case For Sustainable Investments
Business Day
16th July – Session Two
Richard was employed by Bendigo Bank from 2001 to 2008 as a chief general manager. He was responsible for a number of back office functions including management of the Bank’s property assets. In this role, he was responsible for two major property projects—designing and constructing the Bank’s Melbourne office in Docklands and its new 5 Star Green Star certified rating for its head office in Bendigo.
Richard describes how and why Bendigo Bank has a broad program to implement a sustainable business strategy, which includes investing in the development of one of the greenest office buildings in Australia. Why do they believe Australian businesses should make similar investments?
