Design Reporter is a proposition, to ourselves and to the Australian media, of what design writing might sound like and look like, hopefully, in the future in Australia.
Working with the newspaper, as the most grounded and public form of print publishing, Design Reporter will be an accessible and informed voice – not populist, not elitist, and not written from press releases.
Design Reporter will work with local and international writers to propose an intelligent, inclusive and broad form of design journalism that attempts to position design as a part of everyday life, connected to other ideas that are prevalent in society today.
Design Reporter will be released on Friday 24 July – available from State of Design hubs at City Square, Iron Designer and Lamington Drive.
