Melbourne Open House is a free event giving Melbournians and visitors to the city a rare opportunity to discover the often hidden wealth of design, architectural, engineering and historic ‘gems’ nestled around the city.
Following its sensational debut last year, in 2009 Melbourne Open House promises even more fascination opening a much wider range of buildings on the Collins Street and Swanston Street axis. The program, which will be announced soon, is sure to include many prominent buildings of interest, best practice examples of environmentally sustainable design and architectural award winners and of course in true Melbourne style a selection of obscure, less known spaces.
