Designboom Mart 2009

For the first time Designboom came to Melbourne to give a presentation and to host Designboom Mart at State of Design Festival 2009. The market-like installation was a cultural group exhibition - an unprecedented opportunity to meet 40 international design professionals personally. Visitors could purchase intelligent, quirky items for a symbolic price. Designers met and discuss with customers, manufacturers, distributors, press and museum curators.

Since 2005 Designboom has curated annual mart exhibitions in New York, and Tokyo. The 2009 Melbourne Mart was the 14th edition of its kind.
