A Farmer’s Daughter
The daughter of a farmer, Alicia Goldstien grew up in the Hawkesbury a rural farming area North West of Sydney. With a background in fashion and an interest in interior design, Alicia has created a collection of wearable art.
Her use of recycled materials along with vintage treasures makes each piece very unique. Old Bakelite handles, clock turning keys, 1950’s poker chips and Nana’s diamante brooches. Cut glass beads are used with oversized contrasting curios and everyday wearable pieces that are delicate and whimsical. Unique recycled vintage items beautifully designed and arranged as individual one-off pieces of Jewellery. Alicia’s background in fashion and interior design combined with her eye for putting together things that work, enable the production of eclectic one off individual pieces of jewellery.
What is recycled wearable art? Well Alicia spends her weekends scouring the countryside for unique vintage, antique and old original objects that she uses to construct one off pieces of hand made jewellery.
