Darcy Clarke

Coming from a background in Sculpture and Architecture, Darcy Clarke started Darcy Clarke Design in 2000 in Byron Bay, NSW, with the objective of starting a new path as a furniture maker. With time, the business has grown and progressed beyond self-manufacturing into a design company, working with outside manufacturers and a broad range of craftspeople both in Australia and internationally. We have worked with many of Australia’s leading architects, builders and interior designers on projects both commercial and residential, large scale and small. Our designs have been presented several times at the Milan Furniture Fair, most recently in April this year.

Darcy Clarke Design is driven by a passion to create beautiful and useful objects, and is very inspired by the creative process itself. Darcy Clarke products are very much about connecting materials to forms, manufacturing techniques, and different aspects of Australian culture. His designs bring focus to the potential of materials to surprise us with the style and warmth they can bring to interiors.
